This video outlines what student flags are and demonstrates how to create, add and remove student flags. Please find the transcript attached to the bottom of this article.
Student Flag Parameters:
Status: Indicates if the flag is active or archived
Type: Indicates if a flag is manual or auto
- Manual: Flag is set manually for each student that requires it
- Auto: Flag is set automatically for students who meet the criteria. Critera is mapped in the conditions box using queries. If you have a specific parameter you'd like set, please work with your CAOLA Account Manager.
Fixed Display: Indicates if the display is fixed or non-fixed
- Yes: This indicates a fixed display, which will show the entire flag name and icon by default
- No: This indicates a non-fixed display, which will show only the icon until the flag is hovered over
How to Create New Flags
- Click Administration Tab
- Click Student Flags (on left side)
- Add New Flag
- Set parameters & save
How to Add Flags to Student
- Navigate to student profile
- Click Flags (Found under "Actions" on left side navigation)
- Click Add New Flag
- Locate the flag you wish to use
- Set status to Active
- Save
How to Remove/Archive Flags from Student
- Navigate to student profile
- Click Flags
- Locate the flag you wish to remove or archive (Note: removing will remove entirely from student profile, archiving will keep the flag but make it inactive).
- Click the pencil & paper icon
- Change status to archived and save OR click delete
How to Archive Flags from Affiliation
- Click Administration Tab
- Student Flags
- Locate the flag you wish to archive
- Click pencil & paper icon
- Update status to archived
- Save
