Overview
This tipsheet provides step-by-step instructions for bulk enrolling multiple students into courses in Genius. Using the bulk enrollment process can help save time and streamline enrollment when placing groups of students into the same course or courses.
Before beginning, ensure that all students have been created in Genius and assigned an advisor. Use this resource to guide you through the bulk enrollment process and ensure students are successfully enrolled in their selected courses.
Instructions
- Login to Genius.
- Select the Students tab.
- On the left navigation menu, select “Bulk Enroll”.
- Enter your search criteria.
- Select the students you wish to enroll.
- Complete the enrollment form.
- Select Enroll
Note: Make sure you receive a green check mark confirming the enrollment was successful. If you do not receive this check mark, please report the error to CAOLA Support.

| Select a School | CAIU |
| Select the Term | Keep this accurate to the current SY for billing purposes. |
| Vendor | Select the vendor – Accelerate, Harris, etc. |
| Course | Find and select the appropriate course. Make sure to double check the course type (Foundations, Honors). |
| Teacher | If using a vendor teacher, this will auto-populate. If you are using a local teacher, select their name from the drop-down. |
| Start Date |
Select the date you want the student to begin accessing the course.
Double check this as it cannot be changed later.
NOTE: This is the date that the grace-drop period will begin.

| End Date | This will auto-populate based on the course length. Change this to the last day you want the student to be able to complete work in the course. |
| Diagnostic, Progress, and End of Course Test |
These options are for Harris Digital Learning courses only.
Diagnostic – a placement test at the start of the course. Progress Test – a progress test in the middle of the course. End of Course Test – a cumulative exam at the end of the course. |
| Blended Learning | Unless you are using a local teacher with a license, leave this blank. |
