The tip sheet below shows how to associate a student with an advisor. This step is to be completed after a student is created in Genius and should be the final step before enrolling the student in a course. Every student needs to be associated with an advisor before the student can be enrolled in a course.
How to Associate Students to an Advisor
- Start on your student’s ‘Main Page.’
- Scroll to the bottom of your screen and click the “Associate to Advisor” button.
- Click on Add new association at the top of the page.
- Select the role of the user.
- If a user is not listed in the role you think they should be, select a different role to get a different list of people to choose from.
- Click save.
